You could say Florette

was built different.

About.

Born in 1921 at the Picchiotti shipyard in Viareggio, Florette came from the same hands that shaped centuries of Italian shipbuilding. The Picchiotti family had been crafting vessels since the 1500s, known for building ships that could handle the sea and still look beautiful doing it. She was made to carry marble from Marina di Carrara to ports around the world. Built entirely by hand, she was designed to move fast, sail steady, and last a lifetime. Her wooden hull and brigantine rig gave her the speed of a schooner and the strength of a square rigger, the kind of ship that worked hard and looked good doing it. A hundred years later, Florette is still sailing while the rest of her kind lives in museums.

Joining Florette,

you’re joining a maritime family.

We’re the Haynes family: Ron, Nicole, Jaden, Amber, and Lucy the sea dog. Florette is our home, our work, and our way of life. Ron grew up on this ship, learning every sound and line from his father before taking the helm himself. Three generations later, she’s still in the family and still under sail.

We’ve rebuilt her by hand, crossed oceans, and shared her with people from all over the world. Ron has sailed more than 300,000 nautical miles across the Atlantic, Pacific, Caribbean, and Mediterranean. Nicole brings her experience from the Navy, where she served as Officer of the Watch and rescue diver, leading with precision and care. Florette carries our story, but she also carries everyone who steps aboard. She’s a ship that connects people to the sea, to movement, and to what life feels like when it’s real.
